Judges

Dominique Blanchard (Portugal)

levels 1-3

“Hello. Since my young age, I have been in love with dogs as I had several breeds of them such as German Shorthaired Pointer, Boxer, and German Shepherds. Although I had several breeds for training (Belgian Shepherd Malinois, German Shepherd, etc..), I have only been competing in dog sports with German Shepherds.

I started first in France by practicing Ring Français (French Ring) and Pistage Sportif Français (French Tracking). Then, when I moved to Portugal, I got introduced to Mondioring which became immediately a passion. Therefore, I started with it. I participated in different Mondioring National and World Championships with different dogs. My last male was 2 times National Vice champion of Portugal.

By being an International Mondioring Judge, I have judged in several countries such as France, Greece, Israel, Philippines, Portugal, Romenia and Spain. I’m also proud of having judged in several world championships, such as, FCI Mondioring World Championship, FCI Mondioring Grand Prix, FCI Mondioring Decoys International Selection, FMBB Mondioring World Championship, FMBB Mondioring Grand Prix. I also managed to bring my sons into this sport (Charly Blanchard and Morgan), who both are, as well, very active players of this sport and which allows us to have as many fun as possible in it.

I am looking forward to judge this competition and hope that all of you will enjoy it as well!”

Don Lee (U.S.A.)

Level 3

“I have been an active USMRA Member since its inception in 2001. I certified as a USMRA decoy in November 2002.  I certified as a USMRA Mondioring Judge in December 2011, doing my final certification trial under Belgium Judge Margaret McKenna.  I have judged well over one hundred trials across our great nation, including co-judging with Valeer Linclau at the 2024 USMRA Nationals.  I have worked on the field at many of the Nationals under several FCI judges.  I have represented USMRA at several International Mondioring meetings at FCI Championships.  I have served in many capacities including Decoy Committee, International Decoy Committee, Membership Committee, Judge’s Committee, and several positions on the BOD.

I am currently a USMRA Director at Large.  I am committed Mondioring, to increasing transparency and communication between the BOD and the membership, and to increasing the presence of Mondioring in the USA.  Last year I judged in Canada for their first Mondioring trial in many years.  I have been in close communication with the Canadian Mondioring Association BOD, assisting them with any help we (USMRA) can provide to help them build this incredible dog sport in their country.

Best of luck to all competitors.  I am looking forward to seeing y’all in California!”

Shannon Faltak (U.S.A.)

Levels 1&2

“I have had a passion for training and competing with dogs from a young age, working with a variety of breeds including Golden Retrievers, Poodles, a Siberian Husky, and a Belgian Malinois. My journey began in AKC and UKC venues before I found my true home in the sport of Mondioring.

My early mondioring competition career was highlighted by my work with a Siberian Husky, with whom I competed in over 30 trials. Together, we achieved a milestone as the first team to earn the USMRA Obedience Championship Certificate by completing 11 legs in Category 1, 11 in Category 2, and 11 in Category 3. He also earned his Brevet and competed at Level 1. With my Belgian Malinois, Knox, I had the privilege of competing at the highest levels of multiple disciplines. Knox earned titles in Mondioring 3, French Ring 3, IGP 3, and his FCI FH (tracking), and we were honored to represent the United States on multiple World Championship teams. He is now retired from most competition and continues to enjoy IGP tracking.

My experience extends beyond competing into judging and event work. I served as a Deputy Judge and Scribe at both the 2025 FMBB World Championships and the 2025 USMRA National Championships, and I am currently a USMRA Judge. Internationally, I have competed at the 2024 FMBB World Championship in Italy, the 2023 FMBB World Championship in Romania, and the 2022 FCI Championship in Spain. I remain deeply active in the sport, operating a Mondioring club in the Denver area that hosts annual trials and trains weekly.

The Mondioring community is truly one of a kind—creative, challenging, and above all, fun. It continues to be my favorite sport to train and participate in. Best of luck to all competitors, and I look forward to seeing you in California.”

Decoys

Davide Cantaro (Italy)

I’m Davide Cantaro, 28 years old, and mondioring has been my passion and my lifestyle since 2019. I started both as a handler and as a decoy, and in early 2022 I proudly earned my official decoy qualification. Since then, I’ve been working in competition with dedication and constant desire to improve.

I train at Krist Ale Club and I define my work as clean, technical and respectful of the rules. I love testing dogs in a fair way, pushing them to express their full potential while always protecting the integrity of the sport and the well-being of the dog.

Over the past seasons, I had the honor of taking part in the 2024 Superselection in Greece and the 2025 Superselection in Italy. I also competed at FMBB 2025 in Greece (classes 1 & 2, and one day in class 3) and at the FCI World Championship 2025 in Italy.

Being invited to the National Championship in the United States is something I am truly proud of. It is not only an incredible opportunity, but also a responsibility that I embrace with enthusiasm, respect, and deep love for working dogs and mondioring.

Tony Sagstetter (U.S.A.)

My name is Anthony Sagstetter, I’m a level 3 Mondioring decoy originally from Columbus Ohio. I’ve spent the entirety of my dog-sport career learning and training at West Penn Mondioring Club. I feel very grateful to be a part of such a wonderful team and have such great mentors.

I took my first bite in May of 2020 and certified as a mondioring decoy in June of 2022. Since that time I have decoyed 34 trials and 1 USMRA National Championship in 2024. I attended FCI Mondioring Super Selection in Italy in 2025 and plan to enter again in the future.

Thank you to my Mom, Dad, and girlfriend Mackenzie who have supported me in every way imaginable along my journey.
I am very excited to compete with all the dogs and handlers at this year’s nationals! Good luck to everyone!

Joey Morris (U.S.A.)

“My name is Joey Morris and I have been involved in mondioring since 2012 and a USMRA decoy for 7 years. So far in my career I have decoyed over 30 trials including two previous national championships, 2024 and as a reserve in 2025. I was also previously certified as a PSA decoy.

Back home I train at my club, STL Working Dog Club, where we train for Mondioring, French ring, and PSA. My current dog is my 5 month old Malinois, Play Me A Tune du Chenil de Chasseur, and we are training for French ring.

It’s such a pleasure to go out and test the training of the best dogs and handlers in the country and it’s not an opportunity I take lightly!”

Tommy Martin (U.S.A.)

My name is Tommy Martin and I am a professional dog trainer from Clear Lake, Minnesota. I have been decoying for around 6 years, certified with USMRA in 2022, and have 14 trials in my book.

Getting the opportunity to be apart of a national championship has a been a goal from beginning. What I’m most excited about is to be apart of such an impressive jury, and represent my club Nothwoods Ringsport.
